About Ken

Kenneth was born in St John's, Newfoundland, Canada and grew up in Saint John, New Brunswick and Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.  He began his career at the age of 15 in Halifax, Nova Scotia before moving out west to Vancouver at 18 where he had a successful performing career spanning 10 years. He then moved to London, England where he has lived for the past 8 years appearing extensively in the West End.

West End theatre credits include The Drowsy Chaperone (Novello Theatre), original London cast of The Producers (Theatre Royal Drury Lane), Ragtime (Piccadilly Theatre), 125th Street (Shaftesbury Theatre). He most recently appeared in the hit musical The Music Man at the Chichester Festival Theatre, which broke box office records.
 
Other theatre (UK) includes Mamma Mia In Concert (Bournemouth Symphony), The Typographer’s Dream (Menier Factory and Edinburgh Fringe Festival), Gideon in The Last Session (Hackney Empire), Officer Barrel in the workshop of the Broadway hit Urinetown.
 
Other theatre (North America) includes Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Lead Tenor in Insane About Broadway (tour), Rooster in Annie, Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, Clifford in Deathtrap, Mr Phillips in Anne of Green Gables (tour), Stanley in Run for Your Wife, Michael in I Do I Do, Lead Tenor in The Phantom of the Opera concert tour and  Dave in Wrong for Each Other.
 
Directing (Canada) includes The Sound of Music, The Wizard of Oz, Annie, Shirley Valentine, Educating Rita and Anne of Green Gables.
 
Directing (UK) includes Anne Diamond’s Get Your Life Back Tour, Barbecuing Hamlet (Rosemary Branch) and Only the Lonely (Tristan Bates).
 
Writing credits include the comedies Only the Lonely and Maple and Marmalade (co-writer).
 
Recordings include his album Only a Moment which received radio play in both the US and Canada.
 
He is Company Director and Co-Founder of Stageworks Productions Ltd, a creative events company. www.stageworksproductions.co.uk
 
Kenneth offers private tuition from his home in Hackney. He is also the creative director of a new programme 'STARS', an advanced musical theatre/performance school, which he founded www.stageworkstraining.co.uk.
